Support
Something broken, something confusing, or something missing — write to me. LiftDiff is made by one person, so the reply comes from the person who wrote the code.
I usually reply within a couple of days. There is no support queue, no bot, and no ticket number.
Before you write
These come up most often, and the answer is already on the site:
- Moving your history in from another app — Strong and Hevy CSVs import directly; anything else goes through the prompt the app gives you.
- Getting your history out — Profile → Import / Export, as JSON or CSV, or copied to the clipboard.
- Whether to trust the fatigue number — trust the ordering, not the percentage.
- What is stored and where — all of it is on your device.
Reporting a bug
Three things make a bug fixable instead of a mystery:
- What you did, step by step, ending with the thing that went wrong.
- What you expected instead. Sometimes the app is working as designed and the design is the bug.
- Your iOS version and device, plus the LiftDiff version from Profile → Settings.
A screenshot or a screen recording is worth more than all three. If a specific workout or routine is involved, export it as JSON and attach that — it lets me reproduce your exact data without you sending me your whole history.
Before you delete the app
Deleting LiftDiff erases your records, and that cannot be undone. Export first — Profile → Import / Export → Export history. The formats are published, so the file stays readable whether or not you ever come back.
Requesting a feature
Worth saying: tell me the problem, not just the feature. "I can't tell whether my bench is actually going up" leads somewhere better than "add a line chart". Some things stay out on purpose — there is no public feed, no global ranking, and no streak pressure. Friends are off until you turn them on, and both the feed and the rankings only ever show people you have each approved.
Apple Watch and Android
Neither exists today. The Watch is the more likely of the two. Android is not planned — but everything exports to open formats, so nothing traps you here.
